Baby childcare programme
What does a day at the day nursery look like?
For children up to the age of 1, we stick to the rhythm and schedule that they are used to at home. We first have an intake interview with the parents during which we discuss the child's daily rhythm and schedule. Interim changes are passed on to our staff and noted in the agenda, so that all staff in the group are always up to date with the latest schedule. The children sleep, eat, and play according to their own rhythm.
Children from the age of 1 follow the daily rhythm of the group. A day at the day nursery looks more or less as follows:
The children are dropped off at the day nursery between 7:30 AM and 9:30 AM. While they play to their heart's content, any particularities are discussed with the educational staff and noted in the agenda.
At 9:30 AM, the day starts seated at the table. Sometimes we sing a song or read a book, or sometimes we'll talk about a relevant theme.
This is followed by a fruit snack.
After the snack, it's time for a fun activity. The varied activity programme ensures that children come into contact with our labels FitKidz (sport and exercise), SoulKidz (with heart and soul), SkillsKidz (making and creating), and MindKidz (development and education).
After this activity, we all sit together at the table to enjoy a warm and healthy lunch. By sitting and eating at the table together, children encourage each other to taste new things. After the lunch, the children can sleep or rest.
Then, after nap time, we all sit down at the table together for story time, to sing some songs, or to do a small activity. After this, we have another snack.
After, we still have some time left for a fun indoor or outdoor activity before the parents come to pick them up.
The children are collected from the day nursery between 5:00 PM and 6:30 PM. Of course, we tell the parents all about how the day went. And we always already look forward to the next time!
